As I was looking through a book of memories recently, it took me back to a time when Jordan was practicing his speech as he pursued the position of President with his youth group chapter, “L’Chaim”. About a year after Jordan served as President of his chapter, I received a call from B’nai Brith Youth Organization that they wanted Jordan to attend their International Leadership Training Conference over the summer. This experience would help him prepare for his new position on Regional Board and eventually it led to many new members joining BBYO in South Florida. I would overhear Jordan speaking with parents and their teenagers with great enthusiasm, to encourage them to be a part of something very special. Their time in BBYO brought teens together and provided the opportunity to learn all about leadership in our community.
Today, two of Jordan’s friends carry on his legacy as advisors of Jordan Kronen AZA, (formerly known as L’Chaim). In addition, since we’ve established the Jordan L. Kronen Charitable Fund, we have sent a teen to the International Leadership Training Conference each year, around Jordan’s Day on June 7th. The thank you notes of their experiences are extremely meaningful! With your generous contributions we were also able to help save lives through St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital and we have helped children as they are growing up in foster care at S.O.S. Children’s Village. With that being said, we would like to continue to share with you the positive impact that the Jordan L. Kronen Charitable Fund has been able to accomplish thanks to your generosity.
Dear Friends of Everglades Angels Dog Rescue,
What a difference you have made in the lives of more than 64 dogs who were rescued this year and 49 who were adopted. Because of your generosity, our team of volunteers have been able to jump to the aid of so many neglected and abandoned dogs.
You may remember some of the names. Hayden and Aurora – both of whom were found abandoned in rural areas of South Florida. These were rescued dogs who needed treatment for cancer and you responded.

There are so many more stories of difficult starts with happy endings. Hank is a good example. When he was rescued, he had severe acid burns on his back from some unknown cruelty. His journey now is to learn to trust. He is making great strides with the kind and loving volunteers.
And then there is Butterscotch. She was found sleeping beside the homeless in a condemned building in South Florida. When everyone was evicted, she was left behind… alone, scared and forgotten. She was rushed to our vet, where we learned she was due to give birth any day—with at least 7 puppies. Severely malnourished and anemic, and full of parasites. After a lot of tender loving care and good nutrition, she gave birth to 7 healthy puppies.

And now, during the holidays, know that Everglades Angels dogs and volunteers are so thankful for your help and support. Whether you have a dog at home or just believe all dogs should have a chance for a happy life, Everglades Angels wishes you a wonderful holiday season and the best of times during 2026.
With deep gratitude
